The company aimed to evaluate two future ideas by gauging user reactions. Our task involved validating or invalidating these concepts. The client provided the origin and purpose of the ideas, leaving the methodology to us. Since the ideas were vague, we conducted competitive research, held internal ideation sessions, and collaborated with the client to refine and align our understanding.

What we did

After narrowing down the concepts, we created prototypes, ensuring alignment with the existing app. Throughout the process, we established a research plan specifying 30 participants for in-depth interviews. The focus was on gauging participants' enjoyment of new features rather than prototype usability. Client-approved questions guided the 10-day Zoom interviews, with Dovetail for note-taking, Respondent for recruiting and Miro for data synthesis.
